What farms websites have to get right

Agri-businesses selling online face a set of problems that no urban retail site does: buyers in categories with real seasonality, a mix of wholesale and retail demand, produce that has to look fresh in photographs taken in a field, and a meaningful share of visitors on slow connections and older phones. A heavy, image-led site built for a city audience performs badly with the people actually buying.
